If your independent film is screened at Raindance, you have a huge achievement with a lot of fun and friendship on the way. And party! The films have been created and screened and they make you think. There’s a film on tonight about a life that accepts life unfolding and in this case unwinding. I booked to see it again. It’s called ‘Goodnight Missy’ in Slovenian with subtitles. They are scarcely necessary as the visual action is real.
There is an acceptance that life happens when for me, it’s about making friendship and laughter. We learn by laughing. Its thread is of a fairytale bear with lifelike feelings – he entertains everyone and then he shuts himself away, much like writers are apt to do yet we need connection with people. It makes you realise that new friendships offer increased perception, talking and having pure fun. And then there’s the quiet time to think the alone time you can have, the walk, the appreciation of people, places and daydreaming. where would we be without the ‘what if’ scenario? We would not have wi-fi, film, music or travel to distant galaxies. We’re curious and that makes us worth fighting for. May your life be full of friends, fun and laughter. We have philosophy and history at our fingertips as a library to move forward with a caring step.
If it makes you happy, do it.
